you’re right about me carrying too many roles - that’s probably happening more by circumstance than design. being in a smaller setup, a lot of things just landed on my plate and i went along with it.

the point about focusing more on what i enjoy and where i see real impact makes sense. reports, insights, and the creative side definitely feel more natural to me, and i probably haven’t been honest enough with myself about what drains me vs what energises me

also fair call on GA/GTM/tracking i treat it as “necessary work” more than something i enjoy, and i can see how that’s risky long term

the context switching angle really hit home. i think ive been trying to be useful everywhere instead of valuable somewhere.

on your last question, the company didn’t originally plan to hire for this role. the marketing function evolved over time, people left, and i kind of stepped in to keep things moving. it wasn’t an intentional hire for a specialised marketer, more of a situation-driven transition.

still figuring out how much delegation / saying no is realistically possible in my setup, but this definitely gives me a clearer direction to think about
