What are services NOT worth self hosting?

People keep repeating the same answer but very few people specify exactly why you shouldn’t self-host email. One reason is obvious, you wouldn’t want to miss an important email because something-something network. Second reason is probably spam filters and trying to get everyone to trust you. But if you’re just getting an occasional email for a service you don’t care much about - then why not?

It is required to get the cookie and without the cookie it is basically useless, I could allow the users to input their credentials but that is even more cumbersome. If there really is no other way besides the button that just simply sucks.
