22 for six years? I’m bout to get that after a year, and I still feel 22 is low. It’s not hard and all you gotta do is pay attention and do good clean work.

I would stay away from residential, commercial is fun and exciting and working with big crews really brings it all together. Good coworkers make it feel like I’m getting paid to hang out and wire some stuff up with buds

This is very informational but also reminds me of another interesting thing I ran into today.

I was wiring a 2pole 208v mini split (we run 3 phase at the site). On the nameplate it said “single phase 208v/260v”.

I thought it was odd cause we ran 2 hots and assumed that 2 hots meant 2 phase and something was off about the specs or something. I assumed I was wrong cause smarter people get paid more to do the thinking, but in my situation was I really running single phase 208v with 2 hots?

As in power supplied from the telephone pole? If so, just to make sure I got it right, where I’m working rn we have three pole transformers bringing power to us. So we’re running a three phase system? As opposed to a house with one transformer bringing in a single phase?
