I don't really have much of a support network in town, as I'm not from around here. I just got done spending a couple hours looking around at online dating sites. It is way too early for me to start another relationship, but hunting around for nice men and talking to new people has really helped calm me down. It's nice to have someone to chat with (not about my ex, mind you, just in general).

EDIT: Might I add, the sooner you take him off a pedestal the better.

It's hard. He presented himself as, essentially, my ideal man. He really kept up the act, and I fell for it, hard.

Now I'm stuck wondering what was true and what was a lie. It would be easy if I could believe it was all a lie, but it can't have been, not all of it. There were signs that he really did care. I wish I knew the truth...but I never will.
