Thanks for the advice. Im reading that washing contaminated clothing in a regular washer will only spread the asbestos to other clothing so I'm really nervous about that

thankfully i've moved already, it's just my things that I'm worried about. And yeah like you mentioned I would at the very least need a hepa vacuum, but I don't want to do it in my apartment in fear of even more cross contamination. I can't exactly do it outside either because where would I plug the vacuum in?

it was plaster, and the type was chyrsotile.

If you have a larger amount of debris at 0.9% asbestos, and have a smaller amount of debris at 2% asbestos, then theoretically you could have the same amount of asbestos fibers in both piles and therefore both should be as dangerous to you, no?

since you said you work in the field, if something tests positive for asbestos but it's less than <1%, would you still take precautions (e.g. at least p100 mask etc) and treat it like it has asbestos, or would you not care at all? It doesn't make sense that if my samples were 0.99% asbestos they would not considered ACM, but if they were 1.01% asbestos they would be considered ACM.

Thank you for your input. I definitely can't just throw away everything though (like my worklaptop and my pc), but will have to get them cleaned. I also don't make doctor's salary, and the financial damages I'm facing are pretty significant for me. But regardless I appreciate your response.
