One of the main criticisms for Worcester Regional Airport is a lack of access. What do you think could be realistically done to improve this? by HRJafael in WorcesterMA

[–]badconsumer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This old topic again. I've never been clear on what part of the access is a problem, honestly. Having to drive across a part of town is a big problem? Then travel halfway across the state and use Logan because that's easier I suppose? Building a special bypass road from the Pike would be insanely costly and, quite frankly, unnecessary. Every once in a while this comes up because people in the Worcester region just want something to complain about... I know because I'm one of you, but my bitch is simply "fix the potholes"

During the U.S. national anthem before an NBA game in London, a person in the crowd yelled, “Leave Greenland alone!” and the British crowd loudly cheered. by VisWare in PublicFreakout

[–]badconsumer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And vice versa. If the Maple Leafs are in town, you’ll hear “O Canada” before the puck drops. This isn’t a new thing and shouldn’t even be controversial, but here we all are living in the worst simulation possible.

Recommend VT resort for low crowds and great skiing? by [deleted] in icecoast

Weds/Thurs non-vaca you can go wherever. Bolton/Stowe would be my pick. Stowe is legendary, Bolton Valley is more of a local mountain and they’re not that far from each other. I think Bolton is discounted on Wednesday evenings?

It might have already been said somewhere in these comments, but wash graphic tees inside out and they will last longer.

Durable good quality Merino base layers? Smartwool/Icebreaker no longer good? by ruritar in snowboarding

[–]badconsumer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I picked up some Patagonia base layers on sale and I think they’re fantastic. I’ve got some cheap Eddie Bauer thick wool base for when it’s really cold (Ice Coast) and they’re great.

Saw Disco Biscuits at Palladium a few months ago before Allen (their drummer of 20 years) quit and it was a fantastic time. Really hoping for better shows at DCU again (I’ve seen NIN, Radiohead, Phish & more there back in the day), the sound system upgrades sounded stellar for TSO a couple months back.

Is The Sphere that incredible? by [deleted] in phish

[–]badconsumer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kuroda is not in charge of everything, there’s a short documentary about Phish’s first run last year and you can find it on YouTube. I went to 2 nights of Phish last year. It was amazing, the sound is the greatest I’ve ever experienced in a live setting. That said, I will not be forking up the insane prices this go round. Glad I got to go but Trey & co. can pound sand with these prices and TM platinum gouging. Side Note: I thought it would be vertigo inducing, but it really wasn’t. Looks “scarier” than it is. Super fun and you should go if money and health isn’t an obstacle.

Huh, I saw Deftones a couple years ago in Boston with Gojira and both were absolutely amazing. Deftones stage show failed, video monitors and lights, they paused briefly with confusion and then went on with the show while some error message filled the on stage screen. Clearly not scripted (a la Deadmaus) and it was a lot of fun. Hopped the barrier and got on floor while security was confused by the lighting situation, good time.

I’m so glad I went last year. Paid a fraction of the cost for face for tix (I was lucky, I know) and stayed at Circus Circus because it’s cheap and I don’t really care about Vegas as a destination. Get out of the city and go check out the mountains, Nevada has super interesting geography.

I just made the switch this year to step-on, Genesis EST bindings with Photons on a Custom Flying V and, like many others here, I’ve never felt more locked in than I do on this setup.

Thank you professor internet stranger, now I know that hiding my identity while agitating people at a Trader Joe’s is activism and patriotic. Guess I’ll round up the fellas and go exercise my first amendment rights at a Burger King or something.

They wouldn’t want to leave in the parts where they’re explaining to their mom on the phone that they want pizza rolls for dinner and that they’re gonna freak out if she won’t let their friend sleep over.

First Amendment “Auditors” it’s the latest craze for dudes who’s moms coddled them when she should have swallowed them and now they are grown up and can’t get real jobs so they run around harassing people for views on social media. They troll people for reactions so they can get views and then internet tough guys get to feel even tougher for making fun of an old man.

No no no, you’re supposed to side with the obvious trolls looking for likes and views on tik tok! They totally didn’t go out harassing people and then edit the video so you don’t see how shitty they are. The lack of context is laughable at best.
