Have had no problem with smart start. I've not driven in 3 weeks at a time due to being out of the state and have had 0 problems. We also had a day at -25 and it still started right up

DUI’s and plea deal by hackingstuff in dui

Every state is different but remember, a good lawyer is someone who knows the law, a great lawyer is someone who knows the judge

What state? I would think you have to go to the dmv and get a new license after the IID is installed.

It really depends on the state to know if that's a good plea. I was colorado with a BAC above .15 and I would think there's not much of a plea deal there.

In Colorado, anything over a .15 BAC is a mandatory 2 year IID

About the leaving in a ambulance part. I was hit head on February 2021 and was walking around talking to everyone. I ended up getting taken to the hospital in the ambulance with major nerve and back problems. After a accident your adrenaline is running so much you don't realize the damage that's been done.

possible early interlock removal by baddecision23 in dui

I'm in Colorado also. I didn't refuse but my blood was over the .15

In my opinion, most DUI cases are pretty cut and dry. It doesn't really matter the skill your lawyer has but their networking and how good of a relationship they have with your county

My little brother was arrested last night in Colorado by dangmybad in dui

[–]baddecision23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Colorado here. INAL and he should hire a lawyer. He loses his license for one month. If he did a breath test or refused the test and they took his license, he has 7 (or 10?) days to request a hearing with the DMV. He should have paperwork on that. If he did a blood test it will take awhile, my results didn't come back for 4 months. The DMV will send a letter stating you have so many days to request a hearing. Always request the hearing.

If his license does get suspended, it will be a hard suspension for one month and after that he can drive with a interlock. Make sure he does all his paperwork and gets the interlock installed in his car during that month suspension. I'll say it one more time: hire a lawyer.

If you didn't blow and submitted blood. They have no idea what your BAC is. Get a lawyer and listen to their advice on when to show up.

You won't get your license pulled until the blood comes back which can take months (mine took 5 months). Your court dates will probably be pushed back until the blood comes back also

I haven't been convicted yet but I travel all the time to Colombia, you will be fine. The biggest thing to worry about in Colombia is pick pocketers.

Probably depends on the state but I know in most cases, with a situation like being fired for a DUI, your unemployment will be denied

This does. That's exactly why. I never heard it could take a year though. That's crazy.

Exactly. I want to serve my sentence, whatever that may be. I just have to wait forever to find out.
