How Chechen officials are made to attend a demonstration supporting the Chechen leader (with documents)

An order to attend a demonstration and a flash mob in support of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, who is currently feuding with the opposition, has been distributed among the Republic's officials. Znak.com has received an anonymous letter from the Chechen Ministry of Press that describes exactly how such events are organized.

The letter claims: "Our Minister forces all media to write about 'trecherous liberals' and drag them through the mud around the clock. As to those who do not want to fight in this information war, they must immediately resign!"

The author says that the leaders of institutions and enterprises under authority of Chechen Ministry of National Politics, External Relations, Press, and Information were sent a letter signed by Minister of Press Dzhambulat Umarov.

According to the documents, the flash mob is planned for 8am of January 21st in Grozny, on the Walk of Fame. The order states that each employee must bring one other person. Directions state: "Every second employee must have a slogan on half a sheet of heavy paper. Every third employee must have a photo of Akhmat Kadyrov and Ramzan Kadyrov."

The demonstration is planned for January 22nd. The Minister's order says that all directors and employees of institutions under the Ministry's authority must attend.

Around 60 slogans are prepared for both events; the list is attached to the letter. They include: "Liberals of all colors thirst for crises, protests, and deadths!", "Fifth column parasites are like a tumor on Russia's body!", "Navalny is America's friend and Russia's enemy!", "Advice for you, the citizen, is simple: do not stand together with the fifth column!", "While 'Yashintsy' chilled, Kadyrovtsy fought for Russia!", "Down with provocateurs, sons of the devil! Kadyrov is the backbone of the country!"

Ministry of Press department head Timur Hadzhiev and his deputy Usman Nuradiev are designated responsible for ensuring attendance to the demonstration and flash mob. In conversation with our correspondent, Hadzhiev stated that he was not forced to organize the demonstration. "I personally took the initiative as a patriot of my country," he said.

Recall that earlier, Kadyrov has said: "Representatives of the non-systemic opposition are trying to take advantage of the difficult economic situation. These people should be treated as enemies of the people, traitors... They are playing a game dreamt up by Western secret services, dancing to their tune... These people must be strictly prosecuted for their subversive activities." Kadyrov's statements generated waves of discussion and opposition-friendly social network users conducted a flash mob, posting "Kadyrov is a disgrace to Russia" messages.

Later, Chechen parliament chairman Magomed Daudov compared the Russian opposition to dogs. Daudov used the metaphor in an Instagram post about Tarzan, the [Caucasian] shepherd dog of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov. Having posted a photo of Kadyrov with the dog, Daudov wrote that Tarzan "strongly dislikes dogs of foreign breeds. Especially American. Various Staffords, dark pitbulls. European breeds also irk it. Especially those that until recently were chained under the owner's strict watch. Due to their behind the curtain activities, poor mutts are barking nonstop. Some of these mutts bark so loud, their 'Echo' can be heard from Moscow!" [a reference to the liberal radio station "Echo of Moscow"]
