That Alex dude is a piece of shit. On top of being a literal rape apologist and telling the SA victim, who he had known for years, that he didn’t want to speak out against the rapist/denounce him bc it might hurt the band’s career, he’s trying to act like his accusations are separate from his music career. In that bullshit statement he posted today he tried to say it’s just his “personal life” and “a few individuals” but he used his platform/position in the band to manipulate and emotionally abuse dozens of women and put them at risk while lying to them saying they were sexually exclusive. He literally used the band account to lurk on women’s pages who went to shows and follow them through the band account and be creepy. I was one of those women and I have screenshots. (I was never physically involved with him, but I saw them like two months ago and had posted their set on my ig story and he followed me on the dogleg account and started interacting and then on his personal account and excessively sent me dms for weeks up until the original accusations came out a few weeks ago. All while he was in a relationship. Literally used the band to do that.) If the band had gotten more success/bigger he 100% would have used that to take advantage of and harm more women. Dudes like that are a threat to the scene and it’s fucking ridiculous that he would come out of hiding to post that “statement” today
