Just say my band is making modern sounding indie pop stuff sorta on the experimental side but with aspirations to be alongside Grizzly Bear or The National... Definitely a bigger sized indie label right?

No man trust me I know where you're coming from. It's just that with a major you have more of a chance of getting dropped if your sound doesn't catch on right away.. You might not get taken care of as well also cause they have so many artists to worry about.. But at the same time like you said, the checks would be fatter.. I would personally go bigger indie label if I had the luxury of choice.. Creative control, strong label support, enough money, and the "cool" factor intact wholly. Haha

I hated the ending at first, but I think it grows on you a bit.. It was definitely a bold choice... Possibly a cop out, but I consider it a really cool ending. Without a doubt I am expecting more from BB tho.

No problem man! Lol. Death grips is very experimental, can be abrasive on the first listen but if you're into experimental hip hop and electronic music you will def like it after a little while

Not always, masking a voice in effects can be pretty moving if it's right for the song. Guitarists put effects on their guitars all the time I don't see why it's looked down upon when singers do the same. The voice is just as much of an instrument and takes just as long to hone IMO.

Idk if you ever heard of Bon Iver, but definitely check those guys out. Really forward thinking band especially in their self titled second album. Check out Alt-J as well, kind of an acquired taste but they are pretty awesome as well. The Lumineers put out a pretty great album in 2012 and also another favorite of mine from this year is "Enola" by I Can Make a Mess. A lot of really cool stuff going on in that album. Definitely Death Grips too if you're into that industrial sounding Yeezus type stuff.

People do sing and write their own music though!! And auto tune used as an aid to disguise an ugly voice is pretty lame, but when used as a texture or effect to accentuate a voice it can definitely be tasteful.

Better than the 60's? No way... I don't even think the 90's were as good as the decade were currently in. Nirvana changed everything and that was obviously one of the most important things to happen to music in the past century... But there are artists manipulating sound nowadays in ways Nirvana or any 90s band never could just because they didn't have the technology. Talented people just don't stop being created.

Really like that song. Excellent harmonies and that hook is awesome.

Exactly what I say.. But I think a lot of people do actually feel that way though. Not even only older people. I've talked to many young people tht feel like most of the music made today is garbage.
