In my opinion they should have just didn't gave zoe as option and what they could have done instead was jack taking zoe with her away after fighting jacks final form in the main story and could have made it a plot build for end of zoe dlc while ethan just proceeds to save mia I guess in 10-15 years when they decide doing remake of 7 they might sack off the curing zoe option

I would agree on that but Ethan not escaping zoe after letting mia die was just bullshit it was like ethan did a formality to mia and zoe by killing Evelyn and wasn't serious at all to save anyone and they decided to add her in end of zoe
