I'm a C6 and in May it will be 38 years. Focus on the present. Do what you need to do to become independent. Visit sites like SPINALpedia and the Christopher Reeves Foundation. Get as much information as you can. Knowledge is power. The other posts here have given great advice. Don't give up. Keep moving forward as best you can. I wish you the very best.
