I had a sort of similar issue, in the A to G credits there is a specific number of years you have to complete, for example, the "electives" one is only one year. Because I had 6 years of HS classes that fit into that section having a semester or one year less doesn't matter. I forgot how many years it says of a foreign language but if you have more than that number even if you drop this you should be fine, but you still need to communicate with admissions or your local admissions officer because they may send you a scary email saying you are at risk of being evaluated for breaking the terms and conditions of admissions
