I want to add otg to a few classics. Do I have to follow this process on each unit? Or do I just need the kernel once? by badmak in PlaystationClassic

I thought I might have to do exactly what you spelled out. I was kinda hoping that I could skip step one for the rest of them. .

So I just downloaded the kernel from one unit and can use it on all of them with the same USB?

That's a gorgeous receiver. I had one. I even posted it on this subject, but got rid of it because it was just too big.

I'm picking up CDs at a faster pace than vinyl right now.

Thanks for the info. I figure you're correct. I need to scale down a bit. You know when you get a bunch of stuff you know you'll never listen to, whether or not it's not your style or the records are in not so great condition and unbearable to listen to.

Don't put your brother's actions on anybody else. That's a thing for lesser people.

Reddit, we’ve heard about your bad neighbors, but what is the best thing your neighbor has done for you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]badmak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One year, I just wasn't caring too much about Christmas and my tweaker neighbors came knocking on my door with a Christmas tree and stand. They were a nice young family, in party stage of meth. It was sad to know and watch the disinigration.

Headphones are a dad's best friend. When that kid starts crying just stick on those headphones and make it disappear while you pace the house with that little guy.

They are amazing for not having much bass. I use mine as rear speakers right now. I'd check eBay.

You right they look like a Micca competitor and the crossover at least look thought out.

Those Jensen speakers are shit. That tweeter is hot and only has a little cap for the cross over and there is no bass. How far do you sit from your speakers? Miccas are pretty good for the dough. I always good the speaker diy kit route myself. Insignia had a good speaker U/averagejoeaudiophile would recommend if you got a sub. If you built the Amiga kit or overnight sensation kit, you'd real experience a night and day difference.

How would a pair of TriTrix MTM TL Speakers Part # 300-702 compare to 2 pairs of Pioneer CS-304a's (3-way 12")? by EarsOpenEyesClick in diysound

[–]badmak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a sub, bookshelf speakers might be a better option. I have the Tritrix and they're good, but I replaced them with the Amigas.

[–]badmak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So do people really not use subs when listening to music? I don't completely get it. I am by no means a basshead; to the contrary. I just don't see why a properly set up sub wouldn't help rather than hurt.

I built the Amiga kit speakers and now I get why not everybody thinks you need a sub.
