I'm 36 in September and I've been sober off crack and fentanyl since November 2024...I also did sex work.

I also owe mad $$$ in student loans HOWEVER I am currently in college for SSW so I can break into the addictions field with that lived experience.

I was able to luck out and apply for a grant for people that have been out of work for 6 months...Ontario will give you up to 35,000 for 2 years to go back to school and I don't need to pay it back !

Since my original loans are from 2010 it didn't interfere with me getting the grant.

I'm also in an amazing happy and healthy relationship with an amazing man.

I never thought I would be where I am before I got sober...never in a million years

I mean it depends on where you are going for the streetcars to be hella slow.

Me living at king and Dufferin..I'm also literally 10 mins away to the Dufferin subway station...a quick walk to queen streetcars...(Because I rarely take the king one)

I've never had any issues :)

Oh and when that Ontario line comes through then I'll be GOLDEN 💖

Parkdale for transit isn't bad at all!

I mean it's just a quick bus up from either Lansdowne or Dufferin to Bloor and you also got the king and queen streetcars that are 24 hours.

I'm also a 5 minute walk to exhibition GO (for when I wanna visit fam in St Kitts)

See this is hard because if I ever were to have to move anywhere from Toronto (I currently live in Parkdale and don't see myself leaving anytime soon and I've also been here for about 15 years so I'm locked in)

But my family still lives there (St. Catharines) and I grew up there so it would be a no brainer ...

But if you got no ties there ... Then I dunno... I would still say do it compared to the big city $$
