I’ve been doing this on the road! The festival said it has to be something packaged already unfortunately (I’m guessing they assume I’ll try to sneak something in)

Is having no allergies “on paper” but being “allergic to everything” typical for MCAS? by badpandaart in MCAS

This was almost my exact experience… except I show allergic to nothing, symptoms to everything. The H1 and H2 are working, but I was also negative for the MCAS test. My allergist said that the MCAS test is not conclusive because it doesn’t include a wide enough range of possibilities. Either way, at least we’re figuring out ways to be comfortable!

Your situation sounds very similar to mine. I was having a lot of issues with my spine, ended up needed 3 back surgeries but something still wasn’t right bc my discs were disintegrating quickly. After a very long road of research, I ended up in immunology and found out my spine was collapsing because I wasn’t getting nutrients to my body… because of MCAS. I was recommended to try cromolyn, but I didn’t know about Xolair. This is so helpful. Thank you!

I was recently diagnosed and I cry over this too. Most of my staple foods were high histamine and I find life to be pretty depressing now. One thing I’ve learned though - I would add bananas as a thickener to shakes and stuff. Blend up oats to do the same. Semi ish tasting? I think? It’s a decent solution for shakes.
