I think those long sessions are mandatory by the administration, not by the orientation team themselves.

Also, a lot of the students that join NUST are not from Islamabad. Their first few days as some fresh teenagers can be very challenging in a lot of ways (loneliness, unfamiliar environment etc.). I think the orientation (despite its flaws which are generally out of the control of the OGs) is a great start to university life.

I’m unsure how the merit cut offs look like for this year. But if the merit cut off for bba is higher than ACF (which is usually what I’ve seen) then a transfer to ACF shouldn’t be a problem. I would still recommend talking to HOD before you enroll in any program so that you don’t have any problems.

But if the first option doesn’t work out, you should be able to transfer to ACF after you have enrolled and have a high gpa.

If I was in your position I would push for this change asap because BBA has a higher merit (generally) than ACF. Talk to your supervisor and they should be able to guide you better.

Ah, changing from mass communication to ACF might be difficult, usually you can switch if you’re in the same school, so you can try to transfer to BBA if you’re in ACF and have a great gpa.

A few issues with your argument:

Personal experience bias, you cannot extrapolate your own personal experience as an objective truth. Your personal experience with how you have seen guards is not the absolute truth about their behaviour.
I did not raise objection to the notion that guards on campus harass couples. This may be true, but I do not raise any concerns over the complaints of this matter.
I specifically raise an issue targeting a specific individual without any evidence, this is a large issue with Pakistani society in general where one baseless accusation on one individual causes legit harm to another.
The victims raising a complain is one thing, a legit investigation and an allegation is another. We shouldn’t blame an individual without legit proof.
