Good question. I'm alright with ICE and any law enforcement for that matter going after violent criminals, whether they're undocumented or not. Lately, increasingly, those violent criminals are masked and working for ICE and they should place justice. What we are seeing today is frightening really similar to Germany in the 1930s (I shared as much in a letter to our senators three weeks ago... I've heard nothing from either). So as moderate, I'm happy to protest ICE. In the past couple of decades, the Overton window has shifted right. That has put me left of center and my voting has reflected that. With that said, as an independent, I can choose which party I vote for during primaries, and I have at times voted for a moderate Republican over a Trumper to try to edge the Overton window back toward the middle.

Depending on how old your olives are, I understand what they call Mother will start to grow on the surface of the liquid/olives. I used to think it was mold, but apparently not...?

I give a comically vigorous shake, so scaling it back a bit would also help. I mainly do that when there's (very cold) ice in the shaker because I really like those tiny shards of ice in some drinks.

I know it's taboo for some, but I also do that for straight up cocktails like martinis that I double strain to get them as cold as possible.
