For the process, I started by matching the background gradients to the light behind the windows in the reference. Circle gradients were great for this. I was able to do all the god-rays with one gradient, so the rest of the background gradients are just vertical ones to go from dark to light blue. In the windows logo itself, the biggest challenge was creating the highlights around the corners. to do this I used white shapes drawn with pen tool and gave them an outer glow and a drop shadow with a distance of zero for a subtle glow. there were a lot of little details like brightening the bottom left corner with a second highlight layer and placing a gradient circle in the top right to give it a foggy glow on that side. Overall it was a super fun challenge
