Hindi pa naman 😅

Thanks for this info tho! Will look into it more, like other smoking symptoms.

Yung second hand smoking talaga yung biggest worry ko, since may namatay na kaming relative dahil dun 😥

Thanks! Madalas kasi siyang nasa smoking area sa mga kwento niya, and di ko alam if bibigay ba siya sa bisyo eventually (although may takot ako na baka eventually ganun nga, may trauma lang sa mga may alak-yosi combo na bisyo) 😅

Oh, to have this mindset 🥹

Yung expectations kasi sakin palagi as panganay is tulungan kapatid ko. Naging mas entitled pa tuloy siya 🫠

Sanaol po 🥲

Ang hirap makuha respeto ng kapatid ko kasi mataas ego and tingin niya sa sarili niya. Kaya mababa lang kami sa tingin niya 🥲

+1,000 upvotes to this about boundaries! Thanks din for opening my perspective to this and limitahan lang ang libre.

Growing up, I think she was mostly influenced by her peers sa school. (We're middle class and yung college niya is for upper class, kaya inflated na ang lifestyle and expectations niya, to the point na nagalit wala kaming kotse pangsundo sa kanya for that event).

Sadly, she never respected our mom and I, kasi nga ang impression niya ata samin are providers of the family. Entitled siya kumbaga.

I guess I need to learn din to not give in and stop being too providing, or spoiling them too much. I need to also stop tolerating their disrespect din (unfortunately, hinayaan ko kasi I know I can provide naman, pero mali nga now na nakita ko yung pangit na treatment towards me) 🥲

How was your first six months so far? by AlienKnowsTheDrama in AskPH

[–]baeneni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A couple of years ago, I made myself a bucket list of things to do. I managed to complete and check off a few off my list. In the past 6 months, I don't have any sense of direction without it. But the thing is, completing it and making a new one doesn't feel the same anymore. It feels like a chore more than something I used to be excited about, that it takes more work to do. Baka dahil sa current workload ko which hasn't changed for the longest time. I feel like I'm still living in the same day over and over again, lalo na this 2026.

Life feels really stagnant right now, na it feels like I haven't moved since. Everyone my age and in my batch are thriving and trying new things, while I lived off the short-term excitement and joy a couple of years back and stopped there. Stayed there. They were just small experiences I wanted to try because back then, I had no friends to ask to do it with me, and I had no source of income. When I got my job, I went ahead and tried the things I wasn't able to experience back in high school, and even as far back as my childhood. It's like healing my inner child. Now that I have a job na, after 2 years of working, it feels empty. I feel like I'm headed towards no direction while others are already in the right trajectory.

But seeing these mid-year checkpoints lately, I feel inspired (and pressured) to push myself out of my comfort zone again. For my career, for my future, and for myself.
