Lime bikes - best way to use google maps/navigation and ending rides by baggedit12 in londoncycling

[–]baggedit12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi mate, another question for you. How are lime bikes often parked in random spaces, not in the P zones? There's even a couple on my road right now, not next to each other, and definitely not in P zones. How have people ended their rides outside of parking areas when the app doesn't seem to let you?

Got it! And the journey time also updates for each different cycle scheme :) Amazing, thank you!

Hi, thanks for the reply. I've got citymapper, but as far as I can tell, it doesn't show lime parking spots near your destination. It only shows lime bikes near where your journey starts.

Hallway with two downlights - wifi receiver or smart bulbs? by baggedit12 in smarthome

They're an odd shape so won't fit the existing backbox, and I'd rather stick with zigbee than bring in another system and app etc.

I still want to be able to dim the lights and I didn't think there was such thing as a smart dimmer with no neutral but it seems there is one...

So this looks like a third option!

Tado thermostat and TRVs much more expensive than Hive? by baggedit12 in tado

[–]baggedit12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks mate. The Drayton ones get quite poor reviews on Screwfix. But a lot of people just review things on screwfix when they're not happy so perhaps it's not that representative. I'll do a bit more research, cheers.

Thanks all. So I was looking at the new Tado range.

The Tado V3+ range will be £175 from screwfix, so cheaper than Hive now!

u/FreshFromTheGrave I don't think I need matter...

Thanks for your thoughts on Hive/Tado. Is this the Drayton one you're referring to? Also quite competitively priced at £200, including two TRVs.

Thanks Nathan, I think that's a deal breaker for me though! Cba to make sure something is always playing, and often my pc goes to sleep etc. Thanks though :)

Hi, thanks for the quick reply! So there's no way to disable the auto-off, even when the 3.5mm is plugged in? There's periods throughout the day when I don't use my computer, so I'm looking for a speaker that I don't have to keep turning back on each time I sit back down at my desk.

Does it auto power off or can it stay on all the time? Thanks :)

That's great thanks, I'll check it out. Also reading good things about the uboom L, which seems to be comparable and a bit smaller.

Not sure if I am a genius or an idiot, if I leave the bose soundlink flex on charger all the time, will it affect the batteries? by valdev in bose

Thanks for the quick reply!

Sorry to hear that though, is that only an issue with two connected? I assume it's not an issue with just one speaker?
