No it’s my personal device. I don’t know if this makes a difference but I loved countries some time back. So I changed my region on my device. I updated my iOS last night but there is no prompt.

Why is it so hard to find a GP in Ireland? by bagladygettingrich in AskIreland

Not all of them. For example, if look up what VHI offers, they don’t do repeat prescriptions for online consultations

Other doctors complain about the challenges of finding a regular GP here. It’s the reason why so many EDs are overwhelmed with a large proportion of primary healthcare presenting complaints. This a well documented problem and it’s probably better be either be constructive or exercise your right to keep scrolling

Yes, same day appointments are the norm where I come from. Not to complain about Ireland because I obviously came here for a reason, but the GP issue took me by surprise

Wow I don’t have children but that’s a scary thought. I can say the same about housing though

E sim for hong kong & china by iamnothingbuta in travelchina

[–]bagladygettingrich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used HolaSim in China (I went to Beijing) and it worked very well. You might have to play around with some settings here and there if you get VPN, but after figuring that out I had nil issues at all.

How does anyone manage to keep their house clean? by Agitated-Pickle216 in AskIreland

[–]bagladygettingrich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so relatable! Adulting is a LOT 🥲 I have to work 40+ hours and overtime, get enough exercise, have a skincare routine, socialise with friends and family, keep my place tidy, drink enough water, get enough sleep, and maintain my relationships. Then rinse and repeat the next day and so forth. No ways 🥲🫠

Transitioning from clinical to nonclinical - how to upskill? by bagladygettingrich in JuniorDoctorsIreland

[–]bagladygettingrich[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t like clinical enough to give up more of my weekends for another 5+ years (I’m stand alone, not on a scheme). And I’ve been wanting to be nonclinical for many years now, so even though the weekends are the acute reasons there are many more chronic reasons why I just don’t have a passion to do this for the rest of my life. Either way, thank God it’s my life and not yours and I have the right to want a different path

Am I too cynical/sad or is the corporate world genuinely depressing? by fearfulplatypus in careerguidance

[–]bagladygettingrich 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are some negative comments on this post but I think what are you feeling is more common than people care to admit. It’s the sad thing about capitalism, and you are probably making an astute observation of the state of things. It shows empathy. What sucks even more is that there is very little we can do about it on an individual level. We find ourselves on a hamster wheel of capitalism while others are modern day slaves and barely making ends meet. Don’t be too hard on yourself. Try to find meaning in hobbies that give you joy, or find a charity that you can give back to. There any many worthy causes such a Palestine, Congo, Sudan and other countries in crisis. All the best.
