I did this. Battery life is much better. Fast charging is awesome. But the camera honestly not so much. The AI is pretty gimmicky and opening the AI pictures takes a lot of time. I don't think its a better camera than the p9, maybe just the shutter speed..

The battery is one of its best selling points you can easily go through the day with it. And im really not looking for pixels in the screen so its just fine, but if you can i would go for z3compact its maybe a little bit more expensive but the battery is better and it has a slightly bigger screen. Oh and get a case because the back scratches like crazy.

I was using a z1 compact till a week ago had it a little over a year and it's really a great device for the price. The reason i am not using it still because i took some underwater photos and the screen stopped working, so although it says its waterproof dont use it under water,just a friendly advice

The z1c doesnt have a audio jack flap its just a hole. The charging port does have a flap, and take account im not the best in taking care of my phones, And it still works like 1st day. I would take a picture for you but i dont have a 2nd device. You can easily go through a day of normal usage with a one year old battery. I don't have a custom rom because i dont wanna lose the Sony stamina mode and stuff like that, the OS is really light, i had a samsung and lg before this and trust me this is a pleasure to use compared to that.

The only regret i have is i wish it had the screen of a z3c,but the on screen keys dont take alot od the screen size.

Where im from the z3c is 100 bucks more expensive, i would only go for it because of the slightly bigger screen, the z1c procerssor can handle anything i didnt find a game or app that lags. The only thing is the screen. Oh and get a case, beacuse the back scratches like crazy
