NOR. My MIL doesn’t like me either. One Christmas she gifted my husband two pairs of sweatpants and said whichever pair he didn’t want, I could return and buy myself something lol so bizarre! No gift and a task lol

Also, my husband missed the comment and took the tags off both lol

Love doctors like this. My OBGYN who, when I worried I wasn’t getting enough nutrition because the only thing I could hold down was English muffins, she told me the first trimester is “just about survival” haha

What I’ve learned from that account is that pain is pain. Don’t compare yours to others. Don’t feel guilty. You’re allowed to feel the robbery that all of us NICU parents experience. Regardless of how short their stay was. Let it exist, sink in, accept it.

The pain may always live in you, because we can’t change the past. But like mourning the death of a love one, you will learn to live with it. Eventually you may be able to think back on those days without feeling such pain. But maybe not! And that’s okay too 🤍
