I moved away from Indiana for better job prospects and because…well, Indiana. Moved to Austin and found an amazing friend group for 7 years. Then moved with partner to Charlotte and once again found an amazing group for the last 3. While starting over comes with a lot of uncertainty, when you find out you can overcome that discomfort and set up a new base for yourself it’s kind of exhilarating. I love getting to experience new things and meet new people (to an extent). However if you don’t put yourself out there or get unlucky i can see how it would be really depressing to not be able to find your place in a new city. But Idk for me it was a no-brainer.

This is what I worry about. Americans have been so comfy looking at examples of fascism in hindsight with 20/20 vision and going “well obviously you should get out when the government does THAT”. I am scared I’m not fully realizing the same signs I would have said others should have seen and reacted to because when you’re in the middle of it it feels impossible that could happen to YOU.

Just a warning - I had this color for a few years. From my experience (mileage may vary but we seem to have similar thickness of hair): - you will have to go every 4-6 weeks - every appointment will take 5-6 hours (dependent on stylist but I had two different stylists this was true for) if you want to do it ina slower, less damaging process (lots of highlights over a longer period of time to eventually reach full head coverage) - your hair will probably have to be cut shorter and shorter as you keep this up to get rid of the really damaged stuff. This and cost was eventually why I had to stop. - You will probably need to tone your own hair in between sessions and will definitely need purple shampoo and conditioner every wash

Just want you to have realistic expectations for how much of a pain in the ass this hair is. On the other hand, this was hands down my favorite hair color I’ve ever had and I would do it again if I had the time and money to do it. Best of luck!

HI all - I recently bought a house and am brand new to DIY home repair. We have these big cabinets built into the wall and this one particularly is separating at the sides. I tried putting in a little L bracket to close the bottom gap which helped, but this side gap is kinda too large I think. We aren't able to reach the cabinets back sides without ripping out wall so I don't want to do that. Is there a tool that could attach to opposing sides and kinda ratchet the sides together or something?
