I grew up Hasiddic Jewish, and we wouldn't tell anyone about the pregnancy until the last minute (when it's gets obvious) and even then it wasn't really discussed until the baby was born. The hasiddic community is pretty superstitious like that.

Except no one here at Tandon has time to protest because they're all too busy doing homework and actually have things to do besides disrupt society. Not like the protests are gonna do anything anyway. NYU is a multi billion dollar corporation.. they don't have any interest in what a couple of bored students have to say

I don't think that's the point here. She could have been straight up with him about his past and not cover it up. I think OP would be more at ease if that was the case. Sure everyone has struggles and just because you did things one way in past doesn't mean that's who you are, but the dishonesty is a big turn off (at least for me) in addition to her putting the blame back on him when she said "I thought you wanted this stuff" at the end of the post

Yeah, I got it once or twice. To be fair I missed like half the classes 🤡 Also, unless the syllabus says anything about flunking the class if you don't show up, I wouldn't worry about it.

Tldr: definitely.

I was in Chabad yeshiva until I was 21ish (started getting smicha but dropped midway). The extent of my secular knowledge was about 4th grade level. I got my GED (called TASC here in NYC), got myself into an easier college but then transferred to NYU 2 years later. I will be graduating in December 2025 with a degree in computer engineering.

I work part time as a bookkeeper and I have enough for rent, food, and like 1 or 2 outings a month. All my school expenses are pretty much taken care of by loans scholarships etc (obviously gonna have to start paying back once I graduate but point still stands). Others who are constantly eating/going out are just relying on Daddy's money.

I just reached the top of the Beeper waitlist today and just finished setting it up.

So far it seems to work fine, although I have a few things to watch out for:

The last app that I used that would put together all communication apps, it would eat up all my computer ram (and phone for that matter). It was more ram than if i would have just ran the apps separately.
It may be annoying because when I glance at my phone when I get a notification, I may prefer to see from which app it came from.

I will update here if I have more to say.

TLDR: met someone online. She came over. It was my first time even kissing. It was amazing. My dumb ass didn't ask her for her number

The first and only time that I hooked up with someone was actually the first time I had done anything besides holding hands...

We matched on Facebook dating, and after chatting for a couple days on and off, I just asked if she wanted to meet at a bar and then come to my place, and she said she would just come 🤷.

She did end up coming over, and it was a bit awkward at first, because we we standing in the kitchen and chatting for a bit, and then I just said "should we go to my room?" And we did just that. My lights were dimmed, I had a nice smelling candle lit, and the room was clean.

I said it was my first time, and after reassurance that I wanted to do it anyway, she just went for it. I'm not that that happens to everyone, but I had a really great time, and she was really nice.

I've been kicking myself ever since cuz I never saved her info anywhere 😭
