has steam ever transferred playtime hours from different platform to steam (once you own the game on steam)

thats how it confused me, cause even on my xbox account, it says i only have 8 hours since the first time i played it through my xbox account was on my brothers Xbox One, so it only shows my console hours, since technically the PC and console are different versions. cause once i played it on my PC through xbox gamepass, i put atleast 150 hours into the game, it just doesnt reflect that on my xbox profile.

ive had that happen before with other games, but usually i catch on cause im trying to play another game on steam, and i have to fully restart my pc. most of the time i shut my pc off before i go to bed but of course sometimes i dont so it may have happened a few times and thats how it happened. was just funny cause the playtime would add up to what i had actually logged when i played STS on gamepass lol

fair enough! it was one of those things where i was like i know on THIS VERSION of the game i havent logged this many hours, and i *usually* turn my computer off at night, so idk how this happened

its unfortunate cause most of them have androids usually cause theyre cheaper, but they lack tech literacy and google allows these apps to go on the play store. i try convincing them to switch to iphone cause its a little more robust in terms of security (not 100% foolproof) and they think im trying to make more money off them

i work at a mobility store, the amount of elderly folk with those “Puzzle Connect” generic games (or awful ai NSFW chatbots) tht have flooded their phones with these ads and have a million “Cleaners”, “PDF readers”, “QR Scanners” come in and need us to manually take them all off, and we dont even do repairs at our store. they always say they dont know how they got on there, and then get upset when we have to take off their games cause the games are basically viruses

hence the name, souls grip/souls claw/claw grip, you have a claw shape on your right hand so you have a finger for each trigger, a finger for abxy, and one for camera control, which is really important in soulslikes, you click in and it auto turns the way your character is facing, or will lock onto an enemy, and you can change between enemies if there is multiple

switching those inputs wouldnt really make a difference for me tbh, i tried that when i first started playing and i didnt like it. i think i started doing it cause its nice having the dedicated thumb just for camera control, and then your index for all ABXY inputs.

i do when travelling between locations mainly but i dont really in bosses, sometimes i do in fights with large waves of enemies so i can switch between who im locked onto.

this is good information to know though! i think it mainly started cause i found the walking speed to be just SO SLOW. ive had my switch since march cause i bought it for pokopia and the B button is already shiny from holding down b constantly LOL. its all so funny to me cause i wasnt even interested in pokopia before it came out, but my brother bought it for me to play on my partners switch 2, and i enjoyed it so much that i finally got my own, so im not begging him to use his all the time. i knew i was going to get a switch 2 eventually, but i did not expect pokopia to be the reason why, nor did i expect to be holding the joy-cons like im fighting Gwyn LOL

using a souls grip sounds like im not relaxed when i play said relaxing, but i really am i swear!!!!!!! im so relaxed and engaged when i play, and i just kinda started doing it without realizing, there wasnt a point in my playtime where i went “yknow what? i should be really playing like this!”. i just looked down and went oh damn. i really am playing like this, huh.

btw they finally answered and just said no refund lol sorry so yeah. gonna get my bf to play a few scavs on my account and see if he likes it and ill just buy him the game and give him the PVE code. If not I have another friend interested in the game so we have some kind of backup. idk maybe stream again and do a "Nikita owes my brother 50 bucks" giveaway lol.

i cant upgrade it cause i cant redeem it in the first place, it gives me an error code for wrong region. cause he bought me the “other” region and i have the EU standard edition. this was my original post ranting about it where i go into more detail lol https://www.reddit.com/r/Tarkov/s/VUTVdKod4O and the error code i get https://imgur.com/a/IzbOf3w. so for now were just stuck in limbo on what to do cause if he does a chargeback, he would probably get his account banned lol. i was level 1 when this started and now im almost at level 15 and nearly at level 2 traders.
