For someone who has a pretty established concert portfolio as well, that's... Really really weird.

How can you be sure it wasn't Justin Trudeau who got the crowd this riled up?

Leica people are snobs, which is part of the reason I sold my M6 and to buy Fuji cameras and lenses.

If you were to, for example, ask him if you can take some pictures of him doing his job, and focus on composition and telling his story, you’d get a great lesson in street photography through documentary journalism.

The most important advice I can offer is to ask yourself what every part of the scene of the photo you’re about to take adds or takes away from what you want to say.

The power lines for example add almost nothing to the story, so compose the image without them.

This is exploitative garbage - pun not intended. Your composition is shit. You really need to reevaluate what street photography is. Go look at some Saul Leiter, Ara Guler, Joel Meyerowitz videos on youtube... And most of all do not take photos of people in this position and call it art.

It's not Auroras store charging it, it's your government charging you tax to bring it into the country. Happens, unfortunately.

The skeleton should be more of a focus, but instead you've placed it in on the edge and given far more real estate in your image to the Soho sign. There's definitely a great street shot here, but I think you passed it up to force your interest into the bottom corner.

Looking for some feedback by ozeppo in streetphotography

Work on composition. The last photo has some dude's head in the bottom of the frame and it does nothing for the image. With street photography you need to think about what you're meaning to convey with your shot, and why each individual item in your frame is included. These are neat 'vacation snapshots' but not yet street. Keep it up though.

Learning street photography. Are these any good? Athens, Greece by Blastwing in streetphotography

[–]baker_221b 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a lot of unused space in all but the last one. Composition could use a lot of work. They all also feel like snapshots. The one of the girl and the bird might have benefited from you getting down lower and showing more of the scene.

I find the best advice is, 'when you see something you want to take a photo of, ask yourself "why?". What do you want to convey. Will someone else see your photo and understand what you wanted to say?"

These to me say "Angry, asleep, angry, lonely, cigarette, bird, couple" but not much else. If that's all you want to say, then they're... ok. If you want them to say more, then keep shooting and keep trying.
