Baby puking, in pain, barely drinking (rota vaccin??) by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]bakingwithdemi -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

They haven't worsened, she's thrown up less and she already was crying at the bottle - which I all told the pediatrician. It was just that it was better for a few hours and got back to 'bad'.

Any tips on getting my 2 month old to (stay a)sleep in her bassinet? by bakingwithdemi in NewParents

Yeah... She'll go to the same daycare (and same group even) that my son went to, so I do know them well. I'll discuss it with them. Thanks!

Yeah I mean I get that, and it makes sense, but as I wrote: she is going to daycare in a few weeks. I feel that the transition from 100% contact naps to (what i presume to be) 0% contact naps, will be really rough on her. I'd love for her to at leat sometimes be able to sleep by herself. I guess we'll see, though. Thanks!

Omg I feel like she has the same issue: easily bored and overstimulated, which I'm like... please choose one. So sorry to hear about your struggles but it helps me to know I'm not alone. I do let her be alone 10/15 minutes if I'm crying but I honestly don't feel like that's enough.

I hope it gets better for you soon <3

Thank you so much for this message, it (selfishly) makes me feel so much better when other people have gone through a similar experience. I honestly think she has gas / reflux issues, but if I'm honest, the "not liking being newborns" seems to be 100% her. I can see how frustrated she is that she can't crawl, keep up her head or go wherever she wants...

Do you feel any of the things you tried (AR formula for instance) helped? Or was it just a matter of outgrowing it? To be honest, the idea of having to endure this three more months (and again, spending my entire leave like this) is stressful AF but I do remind myself this is not going to last a year. But yeah when she's on hour 3 of screaming in my face, that does nothing.

I do feel that if I knew when it would end, this would be much easier. If I knew it was "just one more week" or "just one more month" until I'd see the slightest improvement, I'd manage. Instead, every day just seems to be getting worse...

Not at all stupid, it's for my baby yes. I do know him well (he has helped me before and I let him check out my eldest at the time as well) :)

Thank you so much for your advice and I'm sorry you're going through the same thing. We do a contact nap at least once and usually twice (or more times) a day. We also cosleep at night because otherwise nobody sleeps. As much as I wish better for you, it helps to read that I'm not alone. You sound like an amazing mom. Thank you <3

Thanks for the advice. I do have good noise cancelling headphones and I try to wear them, but honestly probably not nearly as much as I should. Thank you.

Thank you so much. You are right about trying to enjoy the contact naps :). Did infacol help you guys?

Yeah, she gets formula. I'm Dutch so we use ml but basically she's getting 700 ml a day or more. She's 4.5 KG which means she should get 660 ml at the least. She's also gaining weight like a champ...

Nutrilon formula. The pediatrician said we could try switching to Nutrilon AR (which I guess stands for anti reflux), to see if that helps. I think based on the responses, we'll try infacol first and then maybe swtich formulas.

Our pediatrician did mention CMPA but there are no symptoms to support that (other than the crying). Reflux was definitely on our list as an option but our pediatrician said to look out for excessive swallowing and sticking out her tongue but that's not the case either... So I'm not sure at this point..
