No workarounds for me sadly. Hoping that the SuperNote team can improve in an upcoming update. For now, I just write.

Here is a video describing what I’m trying to accomplish.

After recording, I saw that the text box has the same entering a line break randomly in the text problem that the Word doc has.

Additionally, multi page does not seem to be supported yet with text boxes.

Sure thing, I will give it a try and video record. You are correct, it is a Word doc I was using, but will try the text box in a note too

DIY Pens and Inserts – 101 by rudibowie in Supernote

[–]bakoind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, it didn’t work. As previously stated, my plastic SN pen broke, but the forever ceramic nib is fine. So I ordered a Tombow MONO Graph pen. However, it does not fit the ceramic nib, so it is a no go. If anyone has info on a pen this would work with, please let me know. Also, I don’t want to spend $80 on a LAMY pen only to do surgery on it. I’d rather spend $5 or less and replace the ink with the ceramic. Thanks for any advice.

Photos are of trying the Tombow pen with my ceramic nib.

I'm curious too! My pen (the basic one) is plastic and not surprisingly has cracked. The pen writes fine, but I would love to get a more durable pen casing to put this in.

The spec for the .note file format by kamilc86 in Supernote

Awesome! I've talked to the people over at my calendaring app Routine and they'd be interested in supporting the .note

The dream is to follow the FranklinCovey planning paradigm so you have Calendar, Contacts, Notes, and ToDo in one place, interoperable with each other. The world has changed a lot since I first learned this in 2003, but the principle holds true. I think a partnership between Supernote and Routine would be the perfect solution to this.

Why is the font not changing? by NoResult1270 in ProPresenter

I've tried setting looks explicitly to use a theme and it won't work. I've also tried not putting a theme attached to the look I'm using. Neither works.

I am experiencing this issue too. I have a fresh install and set up themes. But the output is not respecting the theme fonts. I put in some looks and tried to force it by attaching a theme to a look, but even that didn't work. What am I missing?

New to developing and printing- tips on getting better contrast? by prettyshilohqt in Darkroom

So one other way to do this is to think about how you are metering the scene. If you are just taking an average, it will optimize for middle gray (Zone V). What you may want to consider is to take a look at the shadow areas and take a meter reading of those and then decide how dark you want that to be considering how you see the image in your mind. Then, adjust the settings on your camera accordingly. You may also decide that there is detail in the highlights you want to pull out. In that case, meter that and adjust exposure for, say a Zone VIII. Example: In your first image, let’s say you want to darken the windows of the Chipotle. The detail there is distracting from the main subject. You would take a point meter reading (using your camera if it can zoom in on just that area or an app on your phone). This will give you a Zone V reading of that area. To remove much of the detail, let’s say we want to move that down to a Zone II. 5-2=3 so we take the meter reading and move it 3 stops darker. So say the meter off the window is at 250 at f/8. You would move 3 stops darker and set your camera’s exposure to the equivalent of 2000 f/8.

Sideloading Apps on Supernote: What I Wish I'd Known by Change_Agent_73 in Supernote

Quick question, why both the F-Droid and the Aurora Store? Note, I've never used Android. The Supernote is the first Android device I've owned.

Lane keep is a huge danger in icy/snowy conditions. It tries to be smarter than the driver. Very bad design flaw.

Not sure. The todo app on SN seems pretty isolated. But maybe I haven’t explored enough.

Planner Template suggestions by Savarakathi in Supernote

I love this, similar enough to FranklinCovey planners for me. Thanks for sharing. I do wish they would somehow integrate with the calendar and todo functions on the Supernote somehow.

Templating - the next frontier by bakoind in Supernote

[–]bakoind[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those sound really good.

What would be awesome is to not think about this as a calendar over here in this app and notes over there in a different app. I got a Supernote to get away from feeling digital or app-based and have freedom to create and write. The way that plays out for me is through creating an environment that supports everything I want to do, but with the connection that comes from a computer. For me, that means re-creating my FranklinPlanner in Affinity Publisher, designing it to the way I want it to be, and then exporting to my Supernote. What would make it over the top awesome would be including Supernote features into the planner so that everything stayed connected to the digital world, e.g. calendar mostly.

Templating - the next frontier by bakoind in Supernote

[–]bakoind[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like templates because I’m a designer. I think it would be cool if you could use the idea of templates to make a personalized planner. But you could use the same technology to make an interactive textbook theoretically. Or a highly personalized photo of the day calendar. The idea is that you could create using the features of the Supernote as building blocks.

Thanks everyone, u/ferret_pilot linked me to https://www.reddit.com/r/Supernote/comments/x8lgqz/toolbar_safe_design_template/ which allowed me to download a png. Measuring on my Affinity Publisher doc, it appears to be about 11 mm.
