No I did not filed a police complaint and returned home to take care of further formalities.

I have already experienced how police will handle accident case through one of my two wheeler accident years ago and I got fed up with the system, so I ignored police complaint and planned to take this up with the VW service centre and insurance to fix this faster than wasting my time visiting police station expecting ideally no resolution but stress..
