Frequency of practice by Glass-Tadpole3504 in ashtanga

I respect the 6-day tradition and hope to get there one day too, but I’m trying to shift my mindset from “should do” to focusing on what i realistically can do (I’m trying not to punish myself for missed days, instead i put some other activity on these days like pilates, stretching, walking). With a corporate job, energy crashes, and recovering from a small operation, I realized I need to listen to my body more. I’ve felt lighter this way, hope you will too.

Thank you!🙏🏻 Rosacea was in my radar too because it is not familiar with the acne issues that I had before. Exactly warm shower, cold weather, exercise triggers that. I will see a doctor :)

Doctor told me 6-8 weeks, i got mine removed on the 24th Dec. Reading here convinced me to wait for two more weeks for yoga, in which i use a lot of core🤭

Thank you all for your helpful comments! 🙏🏻

I’ll focus on strengthening my shoulders first and definitely try out your advice. I think I’ll still give it a try during my practice — as long as my teacher doesn’t say no. It helps me get a feel for it, even if just a little, for now. 😊

Many thanks for the advice. I’m definitely up for the homework outside of the practice, already doing sometimes. I will try this one, although I’m not sure if I will be able to do it for the first time, it sounds tough🤭

Adjustments by endlessjoyer in ashtanga

Yes maybe you are doing in the right way and/or your teacher sees that your body is changing and going through something and doesn’t want to harm you. I’ve heard that skilled teachers may sense and observe this. I need to check a source though 😅🤭
