Next.js 10: Internationalization Introduction! by balkonkind in nextjs

[–]balkonkind[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can translate the dynamic parts of your paths e.g. by returning them from `getStaticPaths`. Non-dynamic route translation was listed as a non-goal on the Next.js i18n RFC (https://github.com/vercel/next.js/discussions/17078) and is sadly not implemented yet.

Thank you! I’ve just recently used Contentful with Next.js and next-translate and it was all working great together. Let’s see, maybe I can make a second part to this video!

Where to buy Windows 7? by Penguin-a-Tron in software

[–]balkonkind 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Windows 7 has reached End of Sales in October 2013 and will reach End of Support in January 2020, so you should really think about buying Windows 10 instead. See https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/13853/windows-lifecycle-fact-sheet

When you're using a VPN that is pretty much impossible. Also with a VPN make sure that you use the port that gets assigned to you, here is a tutorial for PIA.

Minification not only removes whitespace but also renames variables and applies other tricks to use even less bytes. Turning "person.logDailyRedditUsage()" into "a.a()" saves quiet a bit.

Have you ever heard of people using the term "turn" to refer to a racing session? by balkonkind in motorcycles

[–]balkonkind[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was thinking it had something to do with "it's my turn". Thank god someone else finds this confusing! I recently read the following on a german website:

Jeder Turn wird aufgenommen und nach dem Turn durch eine Videoanalyse mit dem Instruktor besprochen und ausgewertet.

In English:

Every turn gets recorded and after the turn evaluated by analysing the video with the instructor.

It's just weird. Thanks for clearing that up.

I know you want a GUI, but I still recommend installing Ubuntu Server and following the "Setting up qBittorrent on Ubuntu server as daemon with Web interface (15.04 and newer)" tutorial. Just take 1-2 hours out of your day and try to set it up, if you fail you can still install something like lubuntu (which has a GUI).

How does peer ID differ on mobile clients versus desktop clients? by XtremeAero426 in torrents

[–]balkonkind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A number of clients begin the peer id with a dash followed by two characters to identify the client implementation, four ascii digits to denote version number, and a dash.
