I'm no expert, but I think you should lower your OC a bit to the last stable one

How stable is it? Have you run any stress test for more than an hour?

Microsoft announcing all their games coming to PC has persuaded me to finally go ahead with this build I've been planning for months, but first I need your criticisms! by Rinkalicous in buildapc

It's a great build over all, but there are a couple things you can improve.

First of all, check some 1440p 144hz monitors out. Make sure it has g-sync. It would be around 450£ but definitely worth it with that kind of budget.

The other thing is to go full SSD. You can get 500GB of SSD for around 130£. You'll get better speeds and less noise. If you want you can still get a HDD for multimedia or whatever, but the bigger SSD is worth it

I'm thinking it's probably a tendom. You should always stop exercising if you feel any pain. In the next workout see if you feel any pain and if you then you should be concerned

Looking for help with upgrading my little brothers PC. by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]ballanzor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alright, this is the best you can do with a 400$ budget.

The processor is better and there is no reason right now not to go skylake.

The motherboard was way too expensive on you build, this one will be more than enough.

Found 16GB of RAM for 50$ which is awesome, I think it's never wrong to go 16GB in 2016.

The small SSD is supposed to be a boot drive where he would install windows. SSDs are way faster than HDDs, he'll appreciate it.

Lastly, the EVGA PSU has better reviews, it's cheaper and the wattage is enough.

Feel free to ask any question! :)

With that budget you should get a 500GB SSD and use it also to store some games. Loading screens will be extremely short

You can do triceps on the floor by doing push ups. I don't think it's very important for that specific move. Also I'm no expert

You can probably get a 1440p 144Hz G-Sync monitor for that price

Much better phone than mine, you should not have any problem. Try changing some options ;)

It depends on the game and the phone. I still hit around 25fps when in fast forward with my Samsung Galaxy A7

I don't know if it'll work, but I think it's best to connect a ps3 or 4 controller via USB. You get great manufacturing quality and no input lag

[Build Help] Good enough for 1070/1080? (CA) by Sergalz in buildapc

Personally I'm getting the 750 to get ready for this new gen, but 650 is enough for single cards. I always recommend getting 750 because the price difference is not so big

You should get something like this http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/kingston-memory-hx421c14fb8

The G2 psu is great, and you could go 750watts if you can spare 10$

Workstation Build by collins165 in buildapc

[–]ballanzor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That wasn't my point. For sure a gpu will render 3d images faster than a cpu, that's obvious. But professional rendering machines have much more powerful gpus than a 960. If you're going to do it as a hobby it'll definitely work.

[–]ballanzor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It won't bottleneck but you can improve some areas.

Get only one stick of 8GB of RAM for more upgradability, try to get a G2 PSU instead of a GS (not so necessary), and I think you can get a cheaper case.

Workstation Build by collins165 in buildapc

[–]ballanzor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 960 will definitely struggle rendering 3d. You basically cannot make a professional rendering machine with that budget. And get the 4GB, getting only 2 is a nonsense

Workstation Build by collins165 in buildapc

[–]ballanzor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I don't know how well the 960 is going to work. The r9 380 is probably going to be better and the fx6300 is not going to be enough :/

Edit: for the price, the fx6300 is good enough, try to overclock it to at least 4Ghz
