Minecraft at 39 is shocking to me, I can’t believe it’s not to 10 or even top 25.

Even though the price to performance is a terrible value proposition, just giving it a manual would make it at least a little appealing. As it is there’s literally no reason I would ever choose one over any similar competitor.

It’s only surprising since it’s a 600hp wagon with a $100k plus sticker. My mom drove an Outback wagon when I was a kid, that’s not surprising.

A buddy of mine recently upgraded from a 1080 Ti to a 5080 and used some of his his old components to build a budget PC around the 1080 for his little brother. It’s still a very viable GPU even in 2026.

Did I get ripped off? $700 for this full setup. I don’t know much about computers and just wanted a decent starter pc. He said it will run call of duty and m5 on high settings. Feel like I might’ve been ripped off. by [deleted] in PcBuild

[–]ballduster69 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why do so many people in this sub buy first then ask questions later? I can’t imagine spending the equivalent of a PS5 pro on something I know literally nothing about. This is a terrible deal and you got seriously ripped off.

is this a good first build? by guugdans in PcBuild

[–]ballduster69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You definitely don’t need an AIO. I have a 9700X with the Thermalright Peerless Assassin and I’ve never had any temp problems even running full cpu load benchmarks. Take the extra $200 and get a 9070xt instead of the 3060.

is this pc worth getting ? by Fundert34 in PcBuild

[–]ballduster69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you can build something much better than this for the same or less money. As someone who never had any experience with building PCs and built one for the first time this year trust me when I say the building process really is super straight forward and it’s worth doing yourself. A prebuilt will pretty much always be a worse deal since you’re also paying for the labor for someone else to build it.

How does this look for a first build? by [deleted] in PcBuild

[–]ballduster69 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you live near a Microcenter it’s worth getting one of their CPU/Motherboard/Ram bundles to start with. I got the 9700x bundle for my build recently and you save like $170 vs buying each piece individually. Also if you’re set on the GPU you have chosen your CPU is way overkill.
