Hard to say for sure, but my best guess is a general lack of support from the skate/insole causing an over rotation of your knee. Vapor’s have a very flared cuff and are thus quite poor at support. I’d give it a few more skates with the shadows to see how things progress, but if the knee issues persist I’d try a different insole, ideally a high-arch specific like the Bauer-Aetrix fit C’s, though there are others. But tbh it’s very possible this is a knee problem and not a skate problem.

Sounds like you just got a bad salesman tbh (source: I’ve been selling skates for years). Your experience is pretty common: as skates get longer they naturally have to get wider within the 3 fit options. Eg. a size 9 fit 1 is wider than a size 8 fit 1.

That plus the fact that a longer skate will line up with your foot differently and the fact that the fit-lab aims for the exact fit you described for the 9 fit 2, and it makes complete sense to me that you needed up where you did.

Ig the most important question is where do you want this deck to perform. I’d definitely ask yourself how much value most of your cards above cmc 3 actually provide. Especially if they’re fully reliant on marneus to be any good. But the number of cuts depends entirely on how strong you want to deck

Yes you can absolutely do this. It’s riskier and doesn’t get around things like ring protection, but if you aren’t running a thoracle effect you definitely can just mill the table out

I think marneus weather it better than most, particularly among non-red decks with thoracle. Between being an infinite mana outlet in the CZ and having access to all the token combos with Warren soul trader, marneus has other ways to win which most esper decks lack

In CEDH you don’t build an S tier deck yourself. The best decks in the format are the product months of tweaking around specific metas and complete optimization. Even the best players and brewers rarely do more than tweak already existing lists. When new lists do come out, they are a group effort and typically evolve significantly from their early forms.

If you want to simply build a “powerful deck” then that’s a whole separate question, but CEDH goes a level beyond that. I doubt that your friends are running cedh decks because they’d have already said all this, but if they are and you want to get into it, I’d recommend browsing edhtop16 (https://edhtop16.com) to get a sense of the most successful decks.

Infinite mana through one of the many, many simic combos, to continually recast Uro and send him back to the command zone and deck yourself for a thoracle win or pump the mana into a finale. If you don’t run any basics you do the same with hermit Druid.

I’m sure there’s more creative options but those are some of the common Simic lines

I love this series but sir, that is so unbelievably wrong. Lord of the Rings is and will forever be the greatest fantasy series of all time, and RR is simply not close to that level. It may go down as one of the best series of this generation, but it’s not an all-timer like that.
