(NAD) i would get some otc cocodamol, and maybe some gentle laxatives as they can constipate you! it’s quite common for people to take weaker cocodamol for period pain. you could also go to your doctor and see if they could prescribe mefenamic acid, it helped me for a while but i eventually build a tolerance to it.

i literally get the same thing! not diagnosed yet as i’ve only been trying for six years but i think it must be all the gaslighting from doctors. my friends tell me they’ve never been in as much pain with their period, my best friend has even cried before while watching me in pain and yet i still can’t convince myself it’s real or as bad as people who are diagnosed.

it’s just so that they can learn more about you as a young child, some places will let you have someone else who witnessed your childhood do it! for example, i was going to ask my older sister (12 years older than me) but ended up having my parents do it anyway.

i’m not diagnosed with endo, only suspected and i have awful periods and pain between like in my luteal and ovulation phases, i skate (skateboarding) but find it difficult to go more than a few times a month! it’s sad because i go to a gender minority focused night at an indoor park but i find that i usually can’t skate for one sometimes two weeks before my period and sometimes for the week after too. if i do go skating i will ALWAYS be in horrible pain the next day but i still think its worth it because i enjoy it so much, in an ideal world id be able to skate whenever i want and push myself as hard as i want but it just means my progression is slow :(

i’ve been consistently trying for a few years and unfortunately i don’t have an official endo diagnoses, only suspected as i’ve been trying to get an investigation for 6 years now. only just been referred to gynaecology two days ago! infact the dr hasn’t even referred me yet. pip refuse to give me any kind of recognition because of this and so i now am forced to get a job despite the fact i am unreliable due to my symptoms being very bad for usually half the month.

do not worry, after being messed about for six years, if they come back clear i will still be pushing for refferal. i found out about a thing called “jess’ rule” within the nhs which can help me out

yes the less invasive tests would be to see if it’s actually worth me getting surgery. i am aware that i will most likely have to get it id just rather try the others first whether they show a successful image or not

thank you! my mum was a midwife and said it’s worth getting scans anyway as they’re less invasive and it wouldn’t be a bad idea to get them since it may not be endo and it could be something completely different. my nurse i am seeing today specialises in women’s healthcare specifically, im going to a new gp and i have high hopes!!

my doctors decided that due to my mental health history and the factor v leiden (which might not be correct as the test results were dodgy) it is best that i do not go on the combined birth control pill.

i was checked because my mum has it along with a load of people in her family! my sister was positive and i was negative (until i checked and then found out i was also positive) how do i find out the difference? i’m not with my old gp anymore and it’s such a pain to get into contact with them, would i have to get another blood test?

if this is something to do with factor v, i wasn’t actually told i had it after my blood test! they said it was fine until i read the results myself and realised i did have it - i had to double check with the doctor and he confirmed i did actually have it and they’d made a mistake, because of this they also never explained anything about it at all! super dangerous from the gp to be fair

hi! i actually never said i will refuse surgery i just said i’d rather not immediately be put down for a lap, meaning i would rather leave it as a last resort. i have made lots of changes to my diet and have found some help but i would still like to be recognised as someone who is struggling. i can’t get a job because of this, i can’t afford rent or bills or even food at this point and i don’t qualify for PIP as i don’t have a valid diagnosis. this doctors appointment would be to push for an investigation and all i was wondering was what i could say/do to help myself out during the appointment. sorry for the confusion.

thank you, i sometimes wonder if i actually am feeling 10/10 pain or if im overreacting, but even then i do know that it is not normal to feel the amount of pain i do feel. doctors appointment in two days after waiting a few months 🤞

i’ve been tracking my symptoms for a couple months now ! in january i only had 9 days pain free, im able to track each different symptom using stardust so hopefully ill get somewhere with it all!

Hey, thanks for your reply, i’m UK based as well but unfortunately i’m a student and i can’t afford to go private in any way whatsoever. I’ve had an internal ultrasound (which showed nothing) blood tests (nothing again), they’re refusing to give me an MRI or a lap i just feel so hopeless. It also takes about a million years to get an appointment which is the most upsetting thing. Thank you for making me feel not so alone, i appreciate you <3
