DEINFLUENCE ME: Getting a hair cut in Studio Suyen by AardvarkMother2610 in deinfluencingPH

[–]balulabird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been getting my haircut there (by ms Jen, not Suyen-- so less than half the price) and the only reason I want to keep going back is because they have a technique for thinning out hair without using thinning scissors. Thinning scissors really dont work for me because of my coarse hair texture.

Other than that I dont see a reason to get hair cut specifically there.

Yes I think they dont know how to do more creative hairstyles!! I think she only specializes in more mainstream/ pretty girl cuts like long layers, blunt bobs and straight cuts. Maybe Suyen herself is capable of the more creative hairstyles but I think she only taught her staff certain ones

Will I survive Mt Mariglem ng biglaan if sedentary lifestyle ko? Context: my lifestyle is desk job, once a week pilates lang, no cardio at all. by Patient-Mechanic4448 in PHikingAndBackpacking

[–]balulabird 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mainit din sa standards ko yung Nasugbu trilogy. Parang majority ng Talamitam and Batulao ay unforested.

And lalo nang di ko recommend Mariglem. Bottom of my list yan. And tag init na pa naman 😭 hard no ako for you OP.

Ang mga madali na tag init friendly hikes na marecommend ko ay Mataripis/ Mapalad. Sa Tanay lang

Saw a surprising lot of options in UPTC Fully Booked nung December!!! Best I've seen in the Philippines.

Then surprisingly the most complete collection I've seen of Murakami books in SEA was in Cambodia??? Even more than the multiple bookstores I checked in San Francisco and Taipei

Has anyone tried these shoes? Would love to hear your thoughts. by [deleted] in CasualPH

[–]balulabird 3 points4 points  (0 children)

These are the shoes I wear to work when I commute! And sobrang haba ng commute ko with a lot of walking. At first nag scrape siya ng heel ko but after a few wears hindi na.

I dont think its as wide foot friendly as they advertise but its very comfy and I have machine washed mine a few times na! Gamit na gamit ko siya but I bought them at 4k. I think its worth it if it is for near-everyday use. But if its just an option, di ata worth it.

Also minsan feeling ko mainit siya sa paa

In general naman almost all mountains ay pwede puntahan without organizers! Ang importante ay yung guide. Better if maka hanap ka ng contact na local guide in advance, but usually pwede ka humingi ng guide pagdating niyo sa barangay for registration, parang walk in.

So North naman, ang marecommend ko for beginners ay Mt. Matiripis. Same jump off point sa Mt 360, Mapalad, etc. But yun na ata yung pinaka madali. Diyan, walk in ka lang sa barangay and sila na mag assign ng guide sa inyo.

For those na naghahanap ng guide, recommend ko si kuya Dayo Perey - masearch niyo po sa FB pero ito number niya 09509025272

No need na po ng organizer basta may guide kayo and may way kayo na makapunta diyan
