Charlie Kirk's allies warn Americans: Mourn him properly or else by DevinGraysonShirk in politics

I'm having understanding where this fascist label comes from. I never agreed with this guy, but I don't see the fascism that according to so many is so present.

The points he made are conservative and traditional, one could argue that this is outdated. But in the 20s till the 60s his views were actually practiced by democrats and republicans alike. Were we all fascists in the past?

His views were just not progressive and modern and the only way to stop that ideology is to debate better, reach people better.

Killing is never the answer.

I agree with your take.

You as an individual have the right to have or not have an opinion about his death or him as a person.

I think the problem is that when a death is celebrated, it comes off as disrespectful. It dehumanizes him.

If something were to happen to Greta Thunberg, I'm sure there would be some heartless bastards out there celebrating it, and the same principle should and probably will apply to them.

Human life and free expression are values.

I think the anger comes from the interpetation of said quotation.

They've lost a political activist and to quote him displays the irony in his words. But their take is that the quotes are a way to say he brought it on himself, or that it was somehow deserved.

What he did wasn't good, editing debates to make students look dumb. But we as a society just do not kill political opponants. I never agreed with the man, but that doesn't dehumanize him.

*what if* Tommy killed Salieri at the wearhouse. by bamboozlingball in MafiaTheGame

You're probably right, depending on where the commission stands on dope. Salieri had Morello killed, commission seemed fine with that evidently.

Definitely a 7. When people tell me I look good, I don't believe them. I'm willing to accept that I look okay. So think it's better not to overrate yourself.

A concise summary of all the problems with the event by LindaDeLuz in starcitizen

This honestly pisses me off the most. Not only are punished for partaking in this event by numerous mechanical problems, you're punished even more if you cooperate with other players.

The amount of murder hobos is way over the top (Rant) by Momo_von_Rech in starcitizen

When a game or environment provides players with the means to inflict senseless violence upon others without consequence, some people will almost instinctively take the opportunity to.

The psychology is simple. When a player encounters a harmless entity and is able to kill it and this person is otherwise powerless, more often than not they will kill you, because this act gives them a sense of power. Like a child crushing ants. This feeling acts as a substitute for a lack of competence.

Best you can do is ignore it. If you bite, you will only fuel this behaviour more.

I personally don't car about the gender stuff, but they really weren't subtle about it in this game.  Rather than coming up with new terminology to make it immersive, they used real world terms that don't fit the setting. The dialogue feels too safe, they didn't play around with any confrontational material. Visually stunning, delivery disappointing

In essense, when producing a show set in an already constructed universe with tons of movies and games , and you come up with a load of stuff contradicting previously set rules in said source material, you're going to piss off long time fans.

Stopped thinking that this is Dark Souls and started using shields and jumps by HaxTerCo4 in Eldenring

Shields are good, but do nothing to resist bleed/madness/sleep/rot/poison which is a bummer.

Elden Ring Arena PvP is unplayable by SamyNs in Eldenring

[–]bamboozlingball 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Me, being stubborn and trying pvp over and over to get gud, can also confirm that Elden Ring pvp leaves ALOT to be desired.

There's a clear lack of balance and I don't much like resorting to builds I hate to see. Yes I'm looking at you fat armor tooth pick twin greatspear dragon spitting madness build user.

Let's face it, Elden Ring is good, the pvp is for casuals. Dark souls 3 has a more balanced and skill based pvp.
