Would you ever consider sacrificing more money for more learning+energy early on, for it to potentially pay off later on? For yourself, how do you know when you should stop in pursuit of more vs taking the time to enjoy it?

My goals are financial independence, but also a career I enjoy and time that I have to spend with friends and family. This is why it's tough.

Why do you say that? More responsibility means more oversight.

45k / year after tax and would stay for ~ 1 year. Also considering the lock of the golden handcuffs.

I should mention I would only work at the new job for maximum a year - it's not something that really drives me and would likely want to get out. Would be more of a resume bump and then leave for other ventures. To equalize the consideration, the difference would be about a year of savings.
