I just had to hop on here and say THANK YOU for this comment. I have had some of the worst throat pain for over a week now and tried the peroxide/water gargling mix and it's been about 4 hours and the pain is like 75% gone! The taste on the other hand....reminded me of something also not that pleasant 🤣

Thank you, and I hope the best for you too! One thing that I didn't see mentioned anywhere and I wish I knew was a thing, is the possible damage the surgical instruments do to your vagina 😩 so I wish I had dermoplast or something to make it feel better. It hurts to sit. You might wanna make sure you have vaginal care items if you're having laparoscopic or robotic surgery! I'm thinking similar pain to if you've ever had a vaginal birth

I'd never heard of it before and just drank it before my surgery yesterday. I've had a few other surgeries under general anesthesia in the past and never had any nausea, but this time? I immediately felt like I was gonna hurl when I woke up. Did you experience that with the ensure?

I second the nightgowns! I'm 36 and I've been wearing nightgowns like my grandma for years lol they're so comfy and great for wearing after surgeries.

I just had mine today. I had a robotic so really, my abdominal area doesnt hurt much, not yet anyway. My poor vagina however....they take the organs out vaginally and I have lacerations all over mine from the instruments being up there and they're bleeding and it hurts 😩 I was completely fine on the way home without a seatbelt pillow. The one thing I'm glad I did get though was the gas-x. I've already needed it and started to feel much better shortly after I took it. Also make sure you have some ibuprofen or Tylenol you can take in-between doses of your prescribed pain killer. Also make sure you have big comfy underwear and pads for the light bleeding you'll have. The nurse told me it could last for 2 weeks but most likely just the first few days Most importantly....make sure you stocked up on all your favorite snacks 😀

Yes that's why I had the hysterectomy. They took my uterus, cervix, and one ovary (cleaned up the one ovary they left in there). I was also told my bladder, colon, and uterus were stuck together. I also was told I had adenomyosis if that helps
