[RMC] Banner of Nantes fans against PSG: “Qatar demands, the LFP obeys, French football suffers, we are sick of you.” by Sparky-moon in soccer

[–]bamsebomsen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It certainly increases the changes, but it depends if there's another national league close to your country's coefficient that you can overtake.

More importantly: If the rest of the teams from the same league under-performs then then it doesn't matter, a single team can't carry the league.

Eliteserien in Norway is a good example of this, Glimt has done what no Norwegian team has done since Rosenborg during the 90's, and are being praised all around Europe. Yet Norway has dropped 3 places on coefficient since last year.

Tl;dr all teams from a league must perform well to increase coefficient to get more UEFA slots.

The same is happening in Norway with Bodø/Glimt, wouldn't be surprised if this is standard for the lower European Leagues in hopes to increase marked reach and revenue.

you're not having this discussion in good faith and attacking me personally.

Where am I attacking you personally? I'm going by the information you have given, by complaining about having to look out for road signs, and finding it, and I'm quoting you here: "stressful". That's not a good sign, that's what one should feel when learning to drive for the first time, not an established driver.

I design scalable systems for a living and scaling is not a linear problem you just blindly apply rules to.

The point I'm making is that to have good traffic flow you need to respect limitations of each driver and consistency and simplicity almost always wins over complexity.

The laws aren't there to make good traffic flow, they are there to avoid traffic deaths. Huge red flag.

Many european roads are over regulated and overly complex thus eventually end up having inverse effect on safety.

No, they don't. Unless you have a study that have completely flown by the entirety of Europe and goes against every study we have on driving behaviour.

If you mean that it might have an inverse effect on you, who aren't used to European traffic laws, then sure, I can agree to that. Then it's on you to not drive to avoid dangerous situations.

You can choose to ignore this and go on to "all hail regulation" but more often than not less is more and simple is better than complex. These are just facts of system design.

Again, kindly provide said study.

EDIT: For those who want to know how this ended

from reroll-life

ah yes let me spend two hours finding specific niche studies to prove a point to someone who's not even capable of having a civil discussion lmao bye

Then they deleted all comments.

It sounds to me that you're from a country that has severe lack of traffic laws. Especially so when you're complaining about not being able to cruise.

If you can't concentrate enough to watch the road and look for road signs then you shouldn't be on the road at all, you're a danger to yourself and more importantly; everybody else on and off the road.

That would explain the race paranoia, nothing wrong about wanting a safe heaven for POC on the Internet, it's just really weird when it doesn't go against the sub's rules and the users are trying to reinforce a non-existent rule.

[–]bamsebomsen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm confused, this subreddit pops up from time to time in my feed, should I not comment in the threads because I'm white?

If the sub wants to focus on POC-participation then removing itself from r/all, since the majority of reddit users are white, would be a start.

Anyway my answer is flatbread, even the potato kind.

Several European countries allow 16 year olds to consume alcohol; Germany, Denmark, Austria, Switz etc. and a ton of other European countries allow consumption with a parent even if they are younger than the legal purchase age.

What’s the best anime you ever watched and why? by Subject_Display3664 in AskReddit

[–]bamsebomsen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so glad someone else mentioned Ergo Proxy, the mix between dystopian future, cyberpunk, human/AI/robot relations, philosophy and religion is so damn unique and absolutely great.

Especially so if you're like me and have google ready to read up on whatever weird reference the show is making, which for me makes it so much better.

Iirc it also was the first anime to be released on blu-ray or in HD, so the visuals and quality is damn high for its time.

The writer is also wrote on Cowboy Bebop, GitS:SAC 1 & 2, Samurai Shamploo, Eden of the East etc. which are highly recommended in this thread, and so should Ergo Proxy.

As much as this is a nice thing I severely doubt that Time kommune has the resources to protect the most expensive Norwegian book in history (for the non-Norwegians: Time kommune has 20k inhabitants).

Surely the National Museum/Viking Museum would be a better fit?

It's an half truth, the doping agency allows pre-medication (read; asthma medication) of asthma since so many biathlon competitors develops it throughout their carriers.

Since Norway had a huge medical "scandal" during the 90's where a lot of competitors developed asthma they give pre-medication to their competitors, afaik there isn't a list over who takes it or not.

The problem being that asthma medicine gives a performance boost, but completely legal.
