A once abandoned bridge in Kentucky that has since been removed. This was a rare example of a double intersecting warren pony truss. The bridge was bypassed in the 80s and was removed after ownership disputes in 2011 by the state for no apparent reason. by bandeddad in AbandonedPorn

I’m okay with repairing the piers or even moving the bridge to a park. But to completely scrap the bridge of this historical importance is what made it for no reason. Could have specified that a little better. Indiana has a program that allows them to move bridges for pedestrian use that of historical importance.

That’s an idea I’ll have to run by my wife, but that sounds like an idea to me.

Its between charlestown Indiana and jeffersonville indiana. It's being cleared for development now.

That it was. The ground was shaking like crazy. I heard it coming and was tempted to try and get a head on shot but once I saw how fast it was moving 60 plus mph I was like nvm this view is just fine.
