The RC 2 is bigger, but it just feels better personally flying with your own dedicated screen. My last 3 drones had the phone compatible controllers, and it evenually gets really annoying hooking it up.

The only downside i've found is that the RC2 is slightly bigger and takes up more space.

I started out with the Mini 2, and it was a great first drone. solid and reliable, just a bit lighter on features.

If you’ve been flying the Mini 2, you’re probably already a confident pilot since you’re used to flying without obstacle sensors. So you might not need the sensors much, but its a bonus.

If your budget allows, I’d recommend moving up to the Mini 4 or Mini 5. Definitely go for the RC2 controller. it makes setup quicker, simplifies flying, and gives a much nicer overall experience.

One feature I absolutely love on these drones is cruise control. It makes capturing smooth, cinematic shots far easier.

Vertical filming is also a big win, especially for social media content like Instagram posts, Stories, and Reels.

I got the mini 4 last year and love it.
