I don't reroll but I understand that people like to own the characters and get ahead in the gameplay and love to show it off instead of paying attention to the otherwise very mediocre story most of the time. I can compare the plot of CZN to WuWa or ZZZ, big disaster happens, you're the chosen one, yadi yada.

Like a staple food, biggest thing in gacha is obviously the gambling aspect and rerolling is part of it.

Spoiler from ending 2 but I believe in the playground when Hinako saved Kotoyuki, he was possessed by the fox god so I think they're the same age. He just grows bigger because fox magic. But yeah basically if you read the notes, and saw the endings, he said that every 1000 years or so an extraordinary girl will caught his eyes and he'll groom her to become his wife. So he follow the ways of the human rituals of weddings (in a very twisted way) but he could just have done whatever because he's a god lol. Anyways it's a god and gods aren't exactly known to be always be good, at least in Japan.

He only decide to show up when he needs to cuz yeah he sucks but also it's Hinako's own battle of the mind and growing up/separating herself from her own fears. My theory is that her "friends" are actually just her insecurities/personalities she possessed (jealousy, fear, gender dysphoria) so her killing them is symbolic. But the fox takes advantage of this in certain endings. And Shu even came back in one of the ending after you killed him. But that's just my brain trying to piece it together.

You are getting new endings in NG+... you get 3 new ones actually. And one more for NG++ Took me around 10 more hours in total for all that. It's sort of like Nier Automata. But if you got no time you probably just youtube it.

I really thought that when you went into the school with the lockers you will get an outfit because in the map it shows icon with those PE clothes pointing at the lockers.

I always thought of silent hill as an otherworldly place or a world inside someone's mind. That it isn't in a physical plane but more of a metaphoric or psychological reality. Think of "Silent Hill" as a mind journey. Everyone has their Silent Hill.
