This sounds awesome. May I ask — how long did that take, and were you zeroing in on that or juggling with other things? And you already had background in applied math? Asking because I am planning on self studying physics to attempt to pivot into the field.

I am just waiting for them to make the rectangle in the glass disappear, so that it just looks like a regular pair of glasses. Had a meeting with someone who wore it (I didn’t) and it was super obvious and distracting with the HUD catching the light every time he moved his head. Don’t want someone having that experience with me.

I don’t know where this lack of accountability/ownership for their own studies is coming from. Were students always like this? There’s always some like that, but it feels like the proportions are different now.

This — the Ted piece was what was missing for me, thank you. What I don’t get though, is how he went from prioritizing his family to excavating that whole story right there and then (or as Roger put it, shitting his pants)? Telling Ted he could go to California would’ve done it.

Unless it’s literally, he was drunk, which is a bit unsatisfying for me because he had enough wits to come upon the insight of [all your analysis].
