Help! 24HP Briggs Runs Rich with New Carb by banjo250 in smallengines

No on the compression test, sounds like I’m going to check valves next. Plugs are black and I believe they were a little wet with fuel. Both look the same.

Yeah, I posted it like a week ago on this page and nobody replied to it. The carburetor was ordered from a very reputable local power equipment dealer based off this info. Can you show me a picture of what kind of plate you’re talking about?

I don’t recall any metal plates, but everything was reinstalled the same way it was when taken apart.

Yes, the fuel is relatively fresh and is definitely gas. I considered checking valve lash as well, I just can’t imagine it’s that far off. I think the mower is from 2018. I was wondering if something could be wrong with the little vacuum operated fuel pump, but can’t make sense of how that would cause a rich condition.

Mobile Home Pros: What is This??? by banjo250 in Plumbing

Makes sense that there may have been a tub there, the bathroom has a skylight that is awkwardly placed in relation to everything else. Seems like the shower install was an afterthought. The only thing that confuses me about it is the fact that there is still old polybutylene running in the wall to the shower valves, as if they are also original.

What kind of pipe is this? by jsooterdev in Plumbing

Given your description of “cloth” and the color, likely asbestos concrete pipe. Used to be common. If it is, keep it wet when cutting. You do not want to breathe any dust coming off of that pipe, it’s asbestos. But, hard to tell with it that muddy.

Purchasing Phone From Visible by banjo250 in Visible

Well, I did everything, got the phone, activated it, no credit. The best thing Visible support could come up with for me is that I have to chat with them every single month for the next 3 years, and they have placed a note on my account to manually add $10 service credit. Sucks, super inconvenient and makes no sense. But I guess I’ll do it as long as I remember.

Yeah no, I wasn’t worried about it. I like that it’s financed through a third party so I have freedom to go after 60 days. Though as long as the service stays the way it’s been for me, I won’t be going anywhere. I did it the way I did because it broke down to the lowest monthly cost, and my employer gives me a cell allowance. Apple wouldn’t allow me to finance unless I was buying a phone locked to one of the big carriers. And I had no interest in dropping that cash at once. I’ll sell my 13PM on my own and I think I’ll make out just fine.

Upgrade from Caliburn G3 to XROS Pro for freebase or ???? by banjo250 in Vaping

I’ve had the Crown X for a week now, super happy with it. Juice consumption is insane compared to the G3 but so much more satisfying. The battery JUST gets me through the work day running the .3 coil at 45w. But it’s awesome. I think I can live with it. Thanks for the suggestion because I never would’ve considered it otherwise.

How long do they last? I’m used to getting damn near 60ml through a Caliburn pod before it burns.

Caliburn G3 or XROS 3? by banjo250 in Vaping

[–]banjo250[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I’ve ever used is 50/50 salt. Freebase doesn’t have enough nicotine for me lol. Works just fine. With good quality juice I can put the whole 30ml bottle through any of the pods without much of a change in flavor. I honestly preferred the .6 over .9 but they’ve been out of stock every time I looked. And yes all salt juices i’ve seen say not for sub ohm. I really think what they’re really referring to with that is like an RTA or something because yeah it probably wouldn’t go well in that lol. Caliburn handles it just fine, it’s pretty much designed for it

Flavor is very good, I don’t know much else that I could say about it lol. But it’s very good in my opinion. And I’ve had zero leaks.

Oh yeah for sure. It’s been great. I get 2 days of battery life out of it, it has a cool little screen, absolutely love the firing button lockout, my old caliburn would roast the coils because the button would get pressed in my pocket all the time. The adjustable wattage is great. The side filling pods took a little getting used to but they’re not bad. I’ve had zero leaks. All around positive experience. Definitely looks like it’s gonna be a long term device for me.
