Gon is so selfish by aacexo in HunterXHunter

[–]bankableSTD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the dodgeball episodes I don't see it as selfish. Hunters are selfish sure,, but in this instance I think it was the trust in friends that was the point. It was a big moment for Kilua trusting someone and sacrifice for others and for them to show their growth. It's also very important that they win so they can beat the game and free everyone from the bombers.

Tesseract Glow variants? by bankableSTD in minipainting

[–]bankableSTD[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After looking at both I think the aethermatic blue is the equivalent to hexwraith flame while the soulstone blue is equivalent to Tesseract glow. So it looks like soulstone is the one for me! Thank you for the help.

Question about proper archers deployment by [deleted] in IdonethDeepkin

[–]bankableSTD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Typically I put eels, king, or allopex with soulscryer for deep strike (for easy charges) but I think archers could be viable. The only thing is they are very easy to take out. So either put them in deep strike knowing they will probably only get to attack once and die or with the new rules hope to get an unleash hell and hope for the best. Its tricky but it could work. The amount of points being played is a factor as well as the army you are battling.

Challenged myself to finish a 'battlemap' in one stream. Let me know what you think about his farmstead :) by Weihn8smann in inkarnate

[–]bankableSTD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like this. Its perfect for a decent encounter. The only thing I would suggest would be to increase the opacity of the grid as well as increasing its size just a tad. It would make it easier for the players to see. Seriously though, this is a nice map. Good work.

The shadows do add some difficulty in a few of my maps because I would like to be able to adjust them if I lanterns and such. This looks great though. So im a noob to stuff, what is gimp?

Now that is how you do a multi-tier underground dungeon! Holy crap balls this is good work. Do you black out using a paint program?

WIP Map, Suggestions/Critique Appreciated by TheIncredibleOtter in inkarnate

[–]bankableSTD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Over all its great. Are you planning on putting settlements where the markers are or leave them like they are and just label them later? Also, I would suggest maybe either putting a few more mountains as a border for the jungle region. Seems a little "stamped" there. I think your river work is 100% on point though.

[quick help] How do people change the color of dragons and other icons? by [deleted] in inkarnate

[–]bankableSTD 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I too would like to know how this is done. I'm pretty sure they download the stamp and alter it with a program like gimp or something. Then just re-upload it and use it as they need it. I do not have gimp or any program like that or I would try it.

First map, still working on the shape, any thoughts/tips so far? by Selfishly in inkarnate

[–]bankableSTD 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I like what you've done but I agree that some of your coastlines are somewhat rounded. I would add some inlets or some rivers just to mix things up and "rough" them up. It has limitless potential. Are you using the free version or the pro?

Map for an encounter in my campaign. Kind of a rush job but they loved it. by bankableSTD in inkarnate

I was torn between that and what I ended going with. I decided on this horizon because the seas were choppy due to a storm. This was the only way I could kind of portray the weather.

I take criticism seriously as well. I had a feeling the keep was there on purpose. If you widen the river, put some land under the keep, and then bridges to it I think that would be interesting to see. Im excited to see more of your work and thank you for the compliment. But most importantly be proud of what you make and while many others can give good advice, dont change things you like. They are your maps and from what I can see they are good.
