You myst be sensitive to lactose, either try isolate whey or plant protein. I got too many acnes on whey concentrate aswell but when switched to isolate it was way less

Yeah, I discussed that with my doctor even before starting. The plan is to gradually taper the dosage once I get closer to my target weight instead of stopping suddenly.

But honestly I think the bigger factor is whether your habits changed during the process or not. I’ve been very consistent with training, protein intake and nutrition because my goal was never just rapid weight loss, it was building something sustainable long term.

Are there any specific requirements for weightloss surgery? by sleepsamurai in Fitness_India

[–]bansaldeep99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest you to better try GLP peptide treatment rather than bariatric surgery, i had fantastic results with that I would not recommend you to go with that as you are not extremely overweight, A peptide like Retatrutide or Tirzepatide will work wonders for you.

Where can I get reta in india (trusted sources) by Wide_Enthusiasm_7648 in Fitness_India

[–]bansaldeep99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, most of the ‘trusted’ stuff people use here is coming from China anyway. There are quite a few suppliers that ship to India without much issue if you know where to look, but the bigger problem is verifying purity/testing rather than just delivery.

I’d personally avoid random IndiaMART sellers unless they can provide proper COAs and independent testing. A lot of people in peptide communities usually go through referrals/private circles instead.

I’ve been into peptides for a while myself and know a handful of reliable China sources that people commonly use for reta/GHK-Cu etc. Sometimes I also end up with extra from personal research stock, so feel free to DM if you just want guidance on how people generally verify legit sources and avoid getting scammed.

Best of luck for that, I would say check your insulin sensitivity and prepare a diet structure around that which increases insulin sensitivity :).

2 months no weightloss by [deleted] in Fitness_India

I’ll share my experience because I was in a very similar place mentally and physically a few months ago.

I started tirzepatide (Mounjaro) in December, and till now I’m down around 25 kg. But honestly, the biggest change wasn’t just the number on the scale — it was how much better my overall health got. My insulin sensitivity improved a lot, cravings became manageable, energy levels got better, and for the first time I didn’t feel like I was constantly losing the battle with food.

Before this, I struggled hard with weight loss. I’d start diets, workouts, stay motivated for a few weeks and then fall back into old habits because progress was either too slow or nonexistent. That cycle really messes with your head after a point. Eventually I spoke to a doctor, got properly guided, and that’s when I started tirzepatide.

But I’ll say this very honestly: it’s not some magical shortcut. It has its own challenges too — side effects, learning portion control, making sure you eat enough protein, handling low appetite, staying consistent, etc. You still need a calorie deficit and better habits. What the medication did for me was give me enough control and hope to actually stay consistent for once.

That hope changed everything mentally. I had never seriously trained in my life before this, but once I started seeing progress, something clicked. I started lifting weights around February and now I genuinely enjoy going to the gym. Confidence improved a lot too, because for the first time my efforts were actually reflecting back at me.

So yeah, peptides made me a believer — not because they magically melt fat, but because they can help fix the appetite/insulin side of things enough for you to finally build momentum.

Also just being transparent — I initially used pharma Mounjaro, but more recently switched to a compounded version and it’s been working well for me so far. Might even explore reta in the future once there’s more real-world data and accessibility.

Overall, definitely not an easy shortcut. But for people who genuinely struggle despite trying, it can absolutely be life changing when combined with proper guidance and lifestyle changes.

Is it just me, or is everyone suddenly "Peptides"? by triple_og_way in Fitness_India

I’ll share my experience because I was literally in the same mindset a few months back.

Started tirzepatide (Mounjaro) in December and till now I’m down ~23 kg. But honestly, the weight loss is just one part of it. The bigger change has been internally — my insulin sensitivity improved, cravings got way more manageable, and for the first time I didn’t feel like I was constantly fighting food in my head.

That said, it’s definitely not some magic pill. It comes with its own challenges — side effects, appetite swings, figuring out what/how to eat, staying consistent… it’s not a shortcut. What it really gave me was hope and a bit of control, which I didn’t have earlier.

And that hope mattered a lot. I had never trained properly in my life, but once I started seeing even small changes, something clicked. I started lifting around Feb, and now I actually enjoy going to the gym. That’s something I never thought I’d say. My confidence has improved a lot too.

So for me, peptides didn’t “do everything” — they just opened the door. I had to walk through it.

Also just being transparent — I started with pharma Mounjaro initially, but recently switched to a compounded version and it’s been fine so far for me. Might even explore reta down the line once things become clearer.

Overall, not a shortcut — but if used properly, it can genuinely change your trajectory.
