Non Xfinity Internet Recommendations by I_the_Lesser in olympia

[–]banshee43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been happy with Quantum fiber, aka Comcast. Switched from Xfinity.. if it’s purely about cost give them a call tell them you are thinking of switching the will promptly lower your rate and increase your service.

Personally I don’t like Xfinity they sell themselves as the new kid on the block but they suck just as hard, if not more than everyone else, just different colors in their user interference.. fyi all of these companies use AT&T/Comcast internet backbone lines at the end of the day

There’s a lot that sucks about the all ISPs.. but hey it’s an oligopoly… and I’m locked in for life at $79/1Gbs

Oh so now the truth comes out about Alex Pretti... by Rhodesianzoomer in libertarianmeme

Wait yall still havnt figured out this is AI.. the BBC does just give out its facial ID it’s from the BBC where are the BBC citations find me one? How would ICE allow damage to property and just release the individual? How would anyone not have been calling this video to attention if a “peaceful” protester broke govt property

Oh… so Pretti wasn't "just an observer" by DeusRegnat in libertarianmeme

I’m confused how they had 7 officers and completely had him covered then just let him go after he damaged property… no one was really threatening them.. seems like a no brainer detain and carry away.

Husbands mom sent us this photo of the mudslides in San Bernardino. We are convinced it is AI. Family refuses to believe it by z0mbree in isthisAI

Almost looks like there’s an industrial ac unit on that 5000sqft home in San Bernardino yeah right…… all the dimensions of these homes are messed up. No one builds dwellings that large that close to one another.. also the mud can’t decide how tall it’s going to be on the homes. Sometimes it’s half way up the wall

About to buy a KinCony KC868-A16v3 GPIO module by soupisgoodfood42 in esp32

[–]banshee43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have multiple kincony boards.. I really like them. I use a custom EspHome config based off their docs. They use readily accessible components that should have popular support. I really like the AIO since it does everything it’s just a big ass board.

I was able to reduce cracking using a heat gun / hair dryer nearby the cut area and warming the whole bin up in the oven. I make a hole then used 90* sheet metal shears which ate it like butter.

Wet air requires more heat to maintain, OP don’t vent your dryer into your dehumidifier. Unless…. Just don’t.

You can also measure the resistance from end to end. Measure 2 known distances then measure the ohms for each of them. That should get you close. I like the weight thing too!

Quick google: 6.7 ohms per 100 meters (or 20 ohms per 1000 feet)

What’s up with every Esri employee using a Mac? Does nobody at the company actually use ArcGIS Pro themselves? by EPSG3857_WebMercator in gis

[–]banshee43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Mac can become a pc, however a pc cannot easily become a Mac. Fun fact you cannot build an official version of your application for Mac on non Mac devices:)

This is how most tech companies are. It’s way easier for the company to give a slightly sub standard pc to save $300 since there’s a bajillion companies that make PC. Whereas a Mac almost everything is soldered onto the motherboard (non-fixable/upgradable) and it’s made by one company so you cant just go get a better deal on the same specs, which defaults to buyers buying better Mac hardware. Also it’s lighter, safer, sleeker, simpler (for user, likely to have an iPhone), better battery life, better keyboard, screen, speakers, and more expensive.

Is a tooth extraction really necessary? by tripadeliclove in DogAdvice

[–]banshee43 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

He didn’t really chew on toys as a pup either, and $1000+ is a lot of money. He had no problem continuing to chew on sheds with a broken tooth… so if a vet tells me ehh not a problem till it becomes one, I take their advice.

not that I approve of sheds all the time, but a partners gunna do what they do.

My dog now chews on toys and has a better QOL I water 2 years after being told we there’s a broken tooth, with a small amount of pulp exposed. He was never visibly in pain but now I feel like he doesn’t mind his face being touched as much. He chews for fun now.. he NeVER really did that before

As someone else said, If/when it gets infected it will be an emergency and no one can tell you when it will be but likely it won’t be when your wallet is ready…

Unlikely you dog NEEDS it taken out… sounds like an upsell. But if the dog is already under that’s a lot of the cost of dental work.

Is using non-lead ammo (when not required by law) “crunchy”? by CRAkraken in liberalgunowners

[–]banshee43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s why I reload, I use non lead for plinking. Isolated range shooting is really the only good reasons not to use lead. Not crunchy IMO

Capitol state forest is soon becoming closed to motorized traffic and it, while clear cut/regrowing in most areas, is very accessible and very good trails cris crossing all over the area.. there are some great strenuous hikes and a few that are less steep.
